On October 21, 2025, our company officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Anyang Botun Bioenergy Development Co., Ltd. in Anyang, Henan Province. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation on the development and comprehensive utilization of biochar projects. This signing marks a crucial step for our company in developing the green and low-carbon industry and promoting the resource utilization of agricultural and forestry wastes.

Powerful Alliance Focusing on Core Biochar Technologies

Located in Anyang Industrial Agglomeration Area, Anyang Botun Bioenergy Development Co., Ltd. is a micro enterprise specializing in the production and sales of biochar. It boasts solid technological expertise in the carbonization of agricultural and forestry wastes, holding 4 national and provincial scientific and technological achievements and over 50 technical patents. The company has also developed co-production equipment with independent intellectual property rights. Adopting its core technology, agricultural and forestry wastes such as corn straw, wheat straw and peanut shells can be thermally decomposed under oxygen-free or low-oxygen conditions into solid biochar and liquid plant acid, forming an eco-friendly closed-loop production system.

Turn Waste into Treasure to Boost Agricultural Emission Reduction and Soil Improvement

In accordance with the cooperation agreement, both sides will mainly explore the agricultural application of biochar. Biochar-based fertilizer can raise soil EC value and optimize soil microenvironment after being applied to farmland. It also enables long-term carbon sequestration in soil and effectively reduces chemical fertilizer consumption. It is estimated that the production of one ton of urea will generate 3 to 4 tons of carbon dioxide. The promotion and application of biochar will make remarkable contributions to agricultural carbon emission reduction.

In addition, carbon monoxide and a small amount of hydrogen produced during production will be delivered back to the furnace as fuel via sealed pipelines to realize energy recycling. The existing demonstration plant of Botun Bio can produce 40,000 tons of biochar and recycle about 120,000 tons of straw annually. While delivering economic benefits, the project effectively increases farmers' income and eliminates environmental pollution caused by straw burning.

Implement the Dual-carbon Strategy and Forge the Energy of Tomorrow

This cooperation agreement marks our active response to the national goals of peaking carbon emissions and achieving carbon neutrality. By converting agricultural and forestry wastes into high-value-added biochar products, we have offered a new solution for smart agriculture and energy conservation, and contributed to building a green, low-carbon and circular economic system.

Going forward, the two parties will accelerate project implementation, deepen technological research and development as well as market expansion, and strive to build the biochar project into a benchmark for regional green and low-carbon development.
